Norwich boss Nigel Worthington will search through the list of free agents in a bid to boost the club's hopes of promotion next season.

The manager plans on a summer break before returning to work and seeing who he can bring in to freshen up the squad after finishing eighth in Division One last season.

"There's nothing going on at the moment," he told the Eastern Daily Press newspaper.

"As I said before it's going to be next month before things start happening because clubs won't want to start paying players until pre-season training gets under way.

"But I'll certainly be checking out the PFA list to see who's available.

"There'll obviously be a lot of players who will be way out of our league because of the sort of wages they'll be asking for.

"It's just a question of ploughing through all the names and working out which ones might be of use to us."
